Seahorses (Year 3 W)

This term we will be learning about how the lives of our prehistoric ancestors changed from the Stone Age to the Iron Age. You can see the other learning that will be cover on our termly overview below.

We will be using the story Stone Age Boy to develop and write our own stone ages stories, creating characters and settings and developing detailed plots. Any additional research your child can complete into this period will make their story writing more authentic.

In maths, we are applying our knowledge of times tables to multiply and divide 2-digit numbers. Confidence with their three, four and eight times table will greatly assist the children with this.

Seahorses will be swimming on Wednesday afternoons this term and continuing to have P.E. at school on Thursday.

Homework, summarised on the grid below, is due on Monday. We usually discuss this as a class on Monday afternoon, so please ensure children have brought it with them.

We test a selection of spellings from the termly spelling list attached below each Friday.

As always, thanks for your support and if you have any questions or concerns please see me on the door or contact the school office.
