COVID-19

Please find our policies and latest information regarding COVID-19 here.

Wider restrictions have been lifted however, schools are still required to uphold a number of measures in order to minimise the spread of the virus. Since the children returned to school on the 5th January we have had 82 confirmed covid cases across the school. This equates to nearly 20% of the school population in a 4-week period. Many of these cases were in children that had already had Covid in the Autumn term.

The disruption to education caused by staff and child absence is something we are striving to minimise. As a result, we will be continuing to maintain a number of measures in school whilst we continue to see high numbers of COVID cases.

This poster illustrates measures we are currently operating under in school whilst COVID cases remain high.

Current testing guidance

If you do need to book a PCR test please avoid undertaking a postal test wherever possible. The time taken for these results to come back has a significant impact on the speed with which we can implement measures in school and communicate to parents. Please be aware you are allowed to leave the house to get a PCR test. Bracknell Leisure Centre currently has a walk-in centre, for online booking tests are released at different points in the day so please keep trying if you are not able to book a local one when you first log in.
