Every Autumn we usually invite parents into school to share with you learning strategies and expectations to support your child with learning in LKS2. This year we have had to record these presentations for you to view at your leisure in the comfort of your own home. Please click on the link below to view the presentations.
Reading and Writing:
Welcome to a new school year!
We are so excited to be welcoming you back and these first couple of weeks will be all about getting used to our classroom and new routines.
Our topic for our Autumn term is 'Meet the Flintstones'. In this topic, we will be exploring the history of Britain between the Stone Age and Iron Age, recreating Stone Age structures and carrying out a range of science experiments with rocks and soil.
Please make sure your reading book and reading record come into school each day.
Spellings and times tables will be assessed each Friday.
P.E. days are MONDAY and TUESDAY. Children should come into school in their school P.E. kit on these days.
Below we have included a wide range of links to websites you may find useful in extending your child's learning. We use a number of these in class too.
Documents included below:
- Meet the Flintstones Autumn topic map
- Autumn 1 home learning document
- Autumn 1 Spellings
- Spelling lists from Year 2
- Allergy information
- Remote Learning Document (also available via online learning tab)
Many thanks for your continuing support,
Mr Groves and Mrs Groves
