Ladybirds class page,
A warm welcome to your new school year!
We have had a great start to our first year of school and are all settling in well. We have already been exploring and investigating lots of different activities and making new friends.
This half term our topic is called 'Super Me!' We will be learning about about ourselves, our friends and our families. People who helps us and what we do at school. We will be exploring numbers via counting, ordering and using practical resources. As the term goes on, we will be reading stories together and learning how to write our names and simple words. Each day we will be learning new sounds in phonics and exploring these in our indoor and outdoor learning environments.
PE lessons will be on a Thursday, however we do sometimes do additional PE on other days. Therefore, please ensure that PE kits are in school all week. We also suggest bringing a warmer tracksuit now that it is colder. Most of our PE sessions are indoors but occasionally they will be outside, even in the winter.
It is great to see many of the children eating the fruit provided by the school for their mid-morning snack. If your child is bringing in their own snack, please ensure that it is either fruit or vegetables. We do have children with severe allergies both within our class and across the school therefore there must be NO NUTS in any of the children’s snacks or packed lunches. Please also see the attached allergy poster for Ladybirds. Please provide water in your child's water bottle.
Please remember that we are always happy to answer any questions you may have with regards to your child’s school life.
