Welcome to Ladybirds class page!
We hope you all had a restful Easter and enjoyed some quality family time.
The topic this half term is 'Roots, Shoots and Muddy Boots!’ We will be learning about life-cycles of different animals and plants and having fun exploring our environment. We will be using some key texts such as ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’, ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’ and ‘The Tiny Seed’ to support our learning. For more detail please find the topic map attached to this page. Please also find attached, ideas for how you can help your child continue their learning at home.
PE lessons will continue to be on a Thursday with Mr Rushforth. Please make sure your child comes into school wearing their PE kit and that any earrings are removed on this day.
Please ensure all jumpers and
water bottles are named. This is particularly important now that it is warmer
and the children are taking their jumpers off during the school day.
It is great to see many of the children eating the fruit provided by the school for their mid-morning snack. If your child is bringing in their own snack, please ensure that it is either fruit or vegetables. We do have children with severe allergies both within our class and across the school therefore there must be NO NUTS in any of the children’s snacks or packed lunches. Please also see the attached allergy poster for Ladybirds. Please provide water in your child's water bottle.
Please remember that we are always happy to answer any questions you may have with regards to your child’s school life.
