Welcome back to the Summer term Seahorses!
Where has this school year gone!
Our topic this term is 'Veni, Vidi, Vici'. Don't worry if you're not sure what those words mean, we had to research them too! This is a Latin phrase which means 'I came, I saw, I conquered'. Latin is a language spoken by the Romans and it is thought that Julius Caesar, a great Roman soldier and emperor, wrote these words in around 47BC, a very long time ago.
This first half term, we will be packing in lots of History, looking at the impact the Romans had (and still have) on Britain.
In English, we will be looking at story plots and poetry. Whilst, in maths, we will be learning about fractions and time, as well as consolidating and revising our foundational maths skills.
Towards the end of this half term, we will also be having a special DT focus week but we will send more details out nearer the time.
- Every day: Make sure your reading book and reading record come into school.
- Monday and Tuesday: PE days. Children should come into school in their school P.E. kit on these days.
- Friday: Spellings and times tables assessments

Every Autumn we usually invite parents into school to share with you learning strategies and expectations to support your child with learning in LKS2. This year we have had to record these presentations for you to view at your leisure in the comfort of your own home. Please click on the link below to view the presentations.
